GETTING TO (AND FROM) THE VENUE

The venue for the 2010 Summit is 'The Grandstand' at Flemington Racecourse. The official address of the Racecouse is 448 Epsom Road, Flemington. This is the Main Entrance of the Racecourse. See on Google Maps>

IMPORTANT: This is a very large site and the main entrance is around a 15 minute walk from the actual site of Summit, which is held in The Grandstand. The Grandstand is located on Flemington Drive at the back of the Racecourse. It is directly opposite the train station. PLEASE SEE SITE MAP AT BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

TRANSPORT OPTIONS

A. DRIVING

Free parking is available at Flemington.

Please enter the Racecouse via Flemington Drive off Epsom Road.

Continue along Flemington Drive following the yellow line painted on the road. You will pass through the small roundabout, continuing to follow the yellow line on the road.

You will pass the Grandstand on the left and parking attendants will be at the front of the Grandstand to assist you further.

Then drive through the Hill Gate and be directed into the VIP Car Park by another parking attendant.

The attendants will then ask you to walk towards the Grandstand. Entry to the Grandstand is through the glass doors.

The Registration Desk is in the foyer where you enter the Grandstand building.

B. SHUTTLE BUS

We will be running a shuttle bus from the CBD to Flemington. It will be $10 per trip.The bus will depart on THURSDAY at 7.45am and FRIDAY at 8.30am from the Radisson on Flagstaff, 380 William Street, Melbourne. Return trips will be at 6.15pm and 10.30pm on THURSDAY and at 4.30pm on FRIDAY. Please pay in CASH at the PeSA registration desk. ATM machines are available on site.

C. TAXI

A taxi can bring you all the way to the Grandstand inside Flemington Racecouse.

Ensure that you direct them through the course and that they do NOT leave you at the office closest to Epsom Road. You may wish to bring the driving directions above.

To call a taxi, you can call SILVER TOP on 131 008. You may also try West Surburban Taxis on 9689 1144.

D. TRAM 

The number 57 tram stops outside the gate of Flemington. This tram runs from Elizabeth Street in the CBD to Flemington. You can view the Route Map online here and the Route timetable online here.

E. TRAIN

Whilst there is a train station at Flemington, it only operates on major race days. The closest train station is Newmarket Station on the Craigeburn Line. It is around a 30 minute walk from the venue, so we'd recommend catching the tram the remainder of the way. More information on the station and line online here at Metlink's website.

GETTING AROUND THE VENUE

Summit will be held across several floors of The Grandstand. The main plenary room will be on the Ground floor (level 1) in "The Forum". This level is where the registration desk will be located, where you should be on Day 1 to collect your name tag and delegate bag.

Breakout sessions, exhibitions and the dinner will be held on higher levels of this stand. PeSA staff and volunteers will be there to direct you as appropriate at the event, so please ensure you pay attention to staff at the event.

You will need to move swiftly between sessions to ensure we keep the event to time.
