PeSA Summit 2010 draws to a (successful) closeAnother fabulous PeSA Summit has drawn to a close. This year was the biggest Summit yet, with over 450 delegates, 25 sessions and 14 exhibitors! Plus we raised over $21,000 for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation! If you attended, we hope you got the most out of Summit. If you didn't attend this year, make sure you join our "Friends of PeSA" email list to keep up to date with future events. Some of our presenters have kindly made their presentations available for download. We'll have these up on this site shortly. We'll also be sharing the "Top 5 things" learned at Summit from speakers and from other delegates, as completed in the "Working the Room" session on Day 2. For those that attend, we're conducting a delegate survey that can be taken online here. What was covered?: You can download a PDF of the agenda.

Why attend Summit? As an online seller, you're often so busy meeting orders that you rarely get the chance to step away and work on your business, not just in your business. Many sellers are also quite removed, working from home or in small teams, cut off from the larger business community. PeSA Summit is a fantastic opportunity for all types of sellers - budding, growing and very experienced - to meet with others like them. It's also a rare chance to not only hear directly from big players like eBay, PayPal and Australia Post, but also meet senior people in these organisations and share your experiences. PeSA Summit is in its fourth year in 2010. Each year we collect feedback from delegates that make the event even better. Registration is heavily subsidised by exhibitors and sponsors, so this event is always extremely affordable, even if you have to travel from interstate. The best way to learn why you should attend Summit is to hear directly from the feedback of past delegates. Here's just some of the candid feedback we received from sellers last year when they were asked:
Gala Dinner - sponsored by eBay & PayPalAn essential aspect of any PeSA Summit is the social networking function at the end of the first day (Thur 29 July)! For the past two years, some sellers have found this time the MOST valuable, as they get a chance to network and build long lasting relationships with other sellers. Thank you to all that attended the Gala Dinner in 2010. Not only did you enjoy a great night of networking, you helped us raise $21,077 for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation! This year, we’ve moved from a cocktail party to a 3 course dinner which was held at Flemington, starting at 6.15 directly after Summit.
Monies raised at the charity auction will go to The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a national charity protecting children from violence and its devastating effects. The Alannah and Madeline Foundation's Cybersafety and Wellbeing Initiative aims to make cybersafety a normal part of every young person's life by equipping them to use technologies in ways that protect them from the associated risks. The development of the initiative is informed by a number of cybersafety experts from across Australia. The first major focus of the initiative is to help schools to create a cultural norm of smart, safe and responsible use of communications technologies.
